Summary of Sessions
A day conference for our Heads of RS/Theology will be held on Tuesday 17 October at New Hall School, Chelmsford. At our day conference last year it was felt that to create a supportive network the group should meet at least once a year. The final programme is detailed below:
Programme for the day
10.00am – Refreshments on arrival, registration
10.15am – Welcome, prayer and introductions
10.30am – Dr. Jonathan Gorsky: The Importance of Judaism for Catholic Schools. Jonathan is a lecturer at Heythrop College and an expert on Judaism.
11.30 am – Philip Robinson: RE update and the new GCSE. Philip is the RE Adviser to the Catholic Education Service.
12.45pm – Mass with students, led by Fr. Lee Bennett
1.15pm – Lunch
2.00pm – Interactive Workshop on the new Section 48 Guidelines from NBRIA
3.00pm – Plenary and Discussion
3.30pm – Departure
