Loyola Preparatory School is a successful all boys’, one form entry, Catholic school based in Buckhurst Hill, Essex that promotes good behaviour, creativity, hard work and a love for learning.
Due to the retirement of our long-serving music teacher, we are seeking to appoint a part-time (2 days a week), experienced and QTS qualified teaching musician with a passion for teaching bright and articulate children.
The successful candidate will have skills in teaching music across all the primary phases and can inspire musicality using voice and instruments during the school day lessons and also lead and rehearse the school choir and Schola groups, each for an hour after school on the days worked. Pupils at Loyola have a real love for music and we are passionate about employing someone who will continue to foster this in all areas of music.
Applicant’s will need to demonstrate their ability to support the school’s liturgical life and be sympathetic to the Catholic choral tradition of the sung Mass and polyphony by preparing music for weekly masses held at the school and other celebrations/concerts.
