Cranmore pupils get their ‘act’ together for CHARITY
by Cranmore School
Our ‘Action Day’ is eagerly anticipated each year. Every pupil in the senior department, age 8 – 11, puts on a short performance in front of the rest of the school which is sponsored by family and friends. We have sketches, magic tricks, joke telling, dancing, singing, ensemble playing – the list is endless. This is a most enjoyable event whilst the children raise funds for the several charities. This year we are supporting Mary’s Meals, which aims to provide chronically hungry children with one meal every school day, encouraging education that can lift them out of poverty in later life, our link school in St Kizito, and the Indian Flood Emergency Fund.
Cranmore pupils have raised over £40,000 for charity at Action Day over the last 13 years.
