New Hall School Hosts CISC Conference
On 17 October, New Hall School, Chelmsford, welcomed Heads of RE/Theology from Catholic Independent Schools across the country, as well as from local diocesan schools.
The main focus of the day was to share best practice and develop subject knowledge with regards to Judaism and the new GCSE specifications. The keynote speakers included Dr Jonathan Gorsky, an expert in Judaism, who lectured on Jewish theology and Mr Philip Robinson, the RE advisor to the Catholic Education Service, who delivered a session on the requirements of the new GCSE in Religious Studies.

Delegates had the opportunity to tour the school site and observe the excellent provision for Theology and Chaplaincy here at New Hall. Fr Lee Bennett, School Chaplain, celebrated Mass for the delegates and the day finished with workshops and opportunities to share ideas.
