Leweston pupil, Clemmie, organises 24 hour triathlon for charity
Year 13 Leweston pupil, Clemmie, organised a 24 hour ‘triathlon’ on the last two days of term, 22 – 23 March, in memory of her friend, Emma Rose Hatchley, who very sadly lost her battle with a rare and severe illness in 2014, aged 15. Her family lived in Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital for almost 4 months while doctors, surgeons and nurses fought to save her.
Leweston danced, ran and swam to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. The day started with 10 hours of dancing then Upper Sixth pupils cycled through the night before finishing the event with a run. The entire school took part from Reception to Upper Sixth and staff. It was an incredibly fun and energetic 24 hours! Please visit Clemmie’s Just Giving page to read more about the event and where any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to help reach the target of £1,500.
