Leweston’s Old Antonian, Florence, has produced a film to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week
Leweston’s OA, Florence Kosky, has written and directed a short film that has been launched this week to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week. Florence is now an Ambassador for the Mental Health Foundation and also works with PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide, a charity whose aim is to assist young people with mental health difficulties.
Florence’s friendship groups have sadly lost several young people to suicide over the last few years and Florence decided to try and do something in a positive way to try and raise awareness and bring about a conversation. The short film is a beautiful piece of drama with Olivia Colman narrating and original orchestral music recorded at Abbey Road Studios. The production of the film was also passed by the charity Mind.
Given that it is Mental Health Awareness Week we wanted to share Florence’s incredible work and help raise awareness. Florence said that if her film helped one person, to her it would be a success!
